Paul Category:American non-fiction booksMonday, April 10, 2010 I had a craving for citrus this weekend and I couldn't remember the last time I had something like this. I tried to make it as close as I could to the one from my memory, but I made some changes along the way. I'm going to post a picture of the finished result below. It was pretty good and a nice change from the chicken I had planned for dinner. I may try to make some more of these. But this time, I would use my mandolin for all of the cutting and slicing. 1. Bring about 1 1/2 gallons of water to a boil. 2. Once the water is boiling, add the frozen strawberries and lime slices to the water. 3. Let the mixture simmer on medium heat for about 10-15 minutes. 4. Drain the berries and lime slices in a colander and let cool. 5. When strawberries are cool enough to handle, mash them together in a large bowl using a potato masher. 6. Stir in lemon juice and zest. 7. Add an extra drizzle of lemon juice if needed. 8. Spoon the mixture into a 9x13 inch casserole dish. 9. Make your best berry shortbread recipe and cut into about 1/2 inch slices. 10. Lay the berry shortbread pieces in an even layer on top of the berry mixture. 11. Top with an extra drizzle of lemon juice. 12. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 20-25 minutes. 13. After baking, let cool completely and chill for about an hour before serving. 14. Enjoy! I’ve had a craving for this tart all week. It’s a great recipe, my mother made this her most popular dessert. I used frozen blueberries, but fresh would be great too. I just love it! Bring juice, sugar and peaches to a boil, and then simmer for about 30 minutes. Place peach slices in medium saucepan and pour juice over them, to keep them from turning brown. Let cool. In large bowl, mix ac619d1d87
